Liz Flattery has been a member of Three Holy Women parish since 2004. Having attended Catholic grade school and high school, she decided to continue her Catholic education by attending Marquette University where she was involved in the Liturgical choir. Upon graduating she found a new place to sing at St. Rita’s church and has been cantoring for the parish ever since. It’s also where she met her husband, Greg. They have three children, Colin, Maeve, and Ronan, who attend Catholic East Elementary and have been members of the Catholic East community since Colin started in K3 in 2013. 

Liz has over 20 years of experience in education. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education from Marquette University, she taught English at Messmer High School for eight years. While there she served as the English department chair, the dance team coach, and was involved with the musicals. During this time she also completed her Masters degree in Literacy from Cardinal Stritch University, earning a K-12 Reaching Licence and Reading Specialist license. In 2012 she was hired by Carmen High School of Science and Technology (a charter school on the southside of Milwaukee) as a Director of Curriculum and Instruction. During her time there the Carmen network has expanded from one high school to three high schools, two middle schools, and one elementary school. In 2015 Liz earned a second Master's degree, this time in Educational Policy & Leadership from Alverno College, with licenses in Curriculum & Instruction and Administration. 

As both an active member of the parish and a parent at the school, Liz is excited to bring her passion for education and knowledge of high quality curriculum and instruction to the advisory board. She is committed to ensuring Catholic East continues to be a vibrant, diverse, and mission-driven school.
