My name is Blake Kraussel. I joined the Catholic East Elementary team of educators to teach 6th grade homeroom, as well as 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Science and Social Studies.

I come to Catholic East with almost 11 years of experience in the education sector. I began as an Early Childhood Educator in 2011, working with 2-3-year-olds and school-age students. After many years of working directly with young children while completing my undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, I transitioned into a management role in the Early Childhood Education industry. Additionally, I’ve spent the last 2 years as the Head Varsity Girls Tennis Coach at Muskego High School, and led the team to the 2020 WIAA Division One State Championship.

Since 2016, I have served as the Chief Operating Officer for Discovery Days and Kids Connection child Care Centers, a family-owned child care institution providing quality early care to approximately 600 children daily across nine locations, benefitting children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age. In this role, I worked to enhance educational programming, build lasting relationships with children and parents, and oversee all center operations.

As your child’s educator, I will work diligently to craft a classroom environment that is conducive to learning. At the core of our classroom culture will be respect: for each other and for ourselves. A collaborative environment will be fostered, and students will have the opportunity to grow intellectually, emotionally, as well as spiritually.

On a personal note, I am married to my wife, Hannah, and we have a one-year-old daughter named Emerson. We are devoted Milwaukee Brewers fans, enjoy traveling, camping, reading, and spending time with family and friends every chance we get.

I look forward to getting to know your child and your family in the coming weeks. If you would like to set up a time to talk either in person or virtually, please reach out.
