Hello! My name is Maggie Beal. I am excited to be joining the Catholic East Elementary team as your Dean of Instruction. I have a passion for education and am driven to help develop the future leaders of our city and of the world. It will be a privilege and a challenge to work with the students and staff at Catholic East Elementary as we focus on the exciting, learning-filled year ahead.

My career began with Seton Catholic Schools at Our Lady Queen of Peace in January of 2018, teaching 5th-8th grade in homerooms, ELA, religion, science, social studies, WIN, and guided reading groups. I also had the opportunity to be the 7th and 8th grade soccer coach. I love every minute of working with students in and out of the classroom!

Two summers ago, I worked for the Milwaukee Brewers, which was an amazing time to observe the camaraderie of a professional baseball team. It is not unlike the camaraderie among a school staff that is committed to growing all students. I enjoy baseball and am also a fan of the Milwaukee Bucks. In addition to being a fan of many sports, I am also a Disney fan, especially after two years working at DisneyWorld.

The youngest of six children, I grew up in Kenosha and graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy. While in high school, I ran cross country and track and field, even qualifying for state championships. I was recruited for track and field to Lake Superior State University in Sault Sainte Marie, MI, graduating with a Bachelor’s in History in 2015. I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University in 2018 with a Master’s in Military History. Last spring, I earned a second Master’s in Higher Education from Cardinal Stritch University.

I have eight nieces and nephews with whom I enjoy spending as much time as possible. My two-year-old Rottweiler/Coonhound mix, Raina, believes it’s her mission in life to spend her days following me around and begging for treats and attention.
