Congratulations to our 7th/8th grade boys basketball team on their invitation to the Padre Serra Basketball Tournament to be held March 6-23! Good luck as you take on Northwest Catholic in Round 1 of this prestigious tournament.
New School Day Hours Effective Monday, February 3, 2014 :
As you know, many school districts are now in the process of figuring out how to make up for lost required instructional minutes due to the amount of days we have had off due to inclement weather already this school year, which is over and above what we planned for when we created our calendar at the beginning of the school year. Catholic East is no exception and has determined a plan for making up instructional minutes going forward.
In order to adhere to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction requirements and the requirements of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, we will be adding 20 minutes to school day until the end of the school year (by adding 10 additional minutes before school and 10 additional minutes after school) and eliminating early dismissal Thursdays in April, May and June.
At the present time, all days off will remain the same and the last day of school will remain the same.
Effective Monday, February 3, the hours for our students as each of our campuses will be as follows:
· Holy Rosary Campus: Start time will be 8:05 a.m., end time will be 3:30 p.m.
· SS. Peter and Paul Campus: Start time will be 7:50 a.m. and end time will be 3:15 p.m.
Early dismissal Thursdays will be canceled beginning in April. April 3, May 1 and June 5 (previously scheduled early dismissal Thursdays) will now follow the new school hours. We will be off from school February 21, March 17, April 18-27 and May 23, as previously scheduled. The last day of school will be June 6. K5 and Eighth Grade Graduation and other events will be held on the days currently indicated on the calendar. Kids Campus hours will continue to run from 7 a.m. to the beginning of the school day and from the end of the school day to 6 p.m.
Catholic East Seeks Next Leader! :
Catholic East is seeking the next leader to take our school to new and greater heights! Mrs. Kraig will be leaving the position in June to take on her new role in her hometown of Fond du Lac, as Director of Advancement for Holy Family Parish, and a search committee is being formed to assist the Corporate Board in the selection of a new principal.
